Lush Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair Body Wash

Lush Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair

Lush Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair

In the eighth grade I starred in a brilliant play created by my English teacher, who adapted huge hits from musicals and 80s pop (he definitely some good taste) every two years and lead a HUGE school music. After the open auditions, I was pulled aside and told I qualified for the starring role, the lead female role, did I want it? And of course, Diva-esque 13 year old me was like 'No, I want the bad girl role!' So the bad girl role I got, and while I did enjoy my role IMMENSELY (I'm telling you, magic is made when you let a 13 year old girl flirt and then slap her ex-boyfriend in a play y'all) the one thing I didn't get was to lead this song in the first act. Super girl power, yo!

(Note, I also paired this wash with one of my favourite books about getting your shit together, and a Sailor Moon pendant from Kuma Crafts because you can be beautiful and powerful at the same time!)

So needless to say, I was IMMENSELY CHARMED when I had the opportunity to test out Lush's Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair shower gel, which is scent-similar to Lush's cocktail line and, you guessed it, named for that catchy South Pacific song.

When it comes to my bath products, I often feel like I never graduated from the juvenile, girlish scents of youth. I still reach for vanillas, and pumpkin spices and other creamy floral scents that are reminiscent of adolescence, but this body wash tells a whole different story.

While I'm not one to believe in scents for men or women, this body was is definitely an easy sell for being a unisex product. The main ingredient in this wash is sandalwood, a scent that I equate with men and women's products equally. Its supplemented with floral notes from lavender, jasmine, rose and fig, so it doesn't have that 'patchouli' scent that sandalwood products can often have.

You don't need to work up much of a lather with Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair, it lathers really well with just a bit of product and this 250ml bottle will probably last me at least six month. Now to just convince my boyfriend to use it too!

You can get Wash That Man Right Out of My Hair for $12.95 for 100ml or $26.95 for 250ml online or in-store at Lush.

Looks like it's time for my monthly makeup! This time last year I was only two weeks post-eye surgery so I couldn't wear makeup at all and then all of ~ this ~ happened. I was going through my vanity recently, not that I've had to desire to wear stuff again, and discovered that SO many of my products had gone bad, and, of them, how many were things I had barely touched. I'm not heading to MINIMALISM or anything, but it has been a bit cathartic to throw out things and really take stock of things, whether it's makeup, or just anything else in life. The one thing I feel grateful for in the last time is more of this time to figure out what *I* actually want, even if it's not what I expected one year ago.
Took a half day yesterday and ended up at the lake. It wasn't too cold, but the skyline looked amazing. I'm still pretty sad these days, not gonna lie, but it felt nice to do something outside and I hope this weather sticks around so I can experience

Today was a holiday, it meant I didn't need to go to work, but when work is just a desk in your living room two feet from your couch, it still feels like you're always at work and never at work, and always waiting until you just turn the laptop back
Today was a holiday, it meant I didn't need to go to work, but when work is just a desk in your living room two feet from your couch, it still feels like you're always at work and never at work, and always waiting until you just turn the laptop back on. Days have no real meaning, time has no meaning, the monotony is just what it is now. Today wasn't a good day. I didn't have to do anything and I couldn't really do anything. Stuff felt pointless, hobbies felt pointless. Everything felt hard and yet I still had to force myself through it. Here's to basically just muddling through. Because we're all gonna have these days and to pretend you don't isn't helping anyone, even yourself.

I even threw on a dress and tights so at least I partially felt like we were really going out! ♥️ Not our most exciting anniversary, but definitely in the top ten 😉.
First pic on the grid in 2021 is a makeup free, eye bag visible, sunshine selfie and I'm not mad about it. The last few weeks have been rough, but so have the last two months of lockdown in Toronto and hell, the last ten months in general. But it is

But it is still nice to see some sunshine, even if it's bouncing off of 1 Bloor East & blasting me in the face as I try to read! 😂☀️
